Gayton Primary School & Nursery is looking for an enthusiastic, caring and experienced Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our nursery team.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of our new school-based nursery, providing our youngest children with the very best start to their journey at Gayton.
At Gayton, we believe that young children learn best through play, exploration, curiosity and strong relationships. We are looking for someone who shares this belief and who can help us create a nurturing, stimulating environment where every child feels happy, safe and ready to learn.

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification.
• Has a strong understanding of the EYFS and how young children learn and develop.
• Is warm, nurturing and able to build positive relationships with children.
• Can support high-quality, purposeful play and recognise opportunities to extend children's learning.
• Understands the importance of communication and language and enjoys talking, playing and interacting with children.
• Can support children's growing independence, confidence and emotional development.
• Is creative, enthusiastic and willing to contribute ideas to our nursery provision.
• Works effectively as part of a team and builds positive relationships with parents and families.
• Has high expectations for all children and is committed to inclusion.
• Understands the importance of safeguarding and keeping children safe.

In return, we can offer:

• A warm, welcoming and supportive school community.
• A nursery that is an integral part of Gayton Primary School, supporting a strong and successful transition into Reception and beyond.
• An exciting opportunity to contribute to the continued development of our nursery provision.
• A committed and friendly staff team.
• High-quality indoor and outdoor learning environments.
• Opportunities for professional development and training.
• Wonderful children who are curious, enthusiastic and ready to learn.

Our school motto is “Positive Minds, Positive Futures”, and this begins with our very youngest children. We want every child who joins Gayton Nursery to develop a love of learning, a sense of belonging and the confidence to explore the world around them.

If you are passionate about Early Years and would love to play an important part in giving our children the best possible start, we would be delighted to hear from you.
