Are you an organised, forward-thinking operational leader looking to make a meaningful impact in a vibrant school community? Hoylake Holy Trinity CE Primary School is seeking an energetic School Business Manager to lead our non-teaching operations, drive efficiency, and support our educational vision.

As our School Business Manager, you will oversee finance, administration, HR, facilities, catering, and health & safety. Working alongside the Senior Leadership Team and Trust central team, you will ensure our school runs smoothly, securely, and sustainably—creating the best possible environment for our pupils to thrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Strategy: Manage and inspire non-teaching support teams (Office Staff, Midday Supervisors, Site Manager, Cleaners, Wraparound care) while shaping operational strategy and marketing initiatives.
  • Financial Resource Management: Partner with the MAT Central Finance team to maintain accurate local accounts, build balanced budgets, manage contracts, and maximise income through lettings and grant opportunities.
  • Administration & Information: Lead the administrative function, maintain our MIS data, ensure statutory website compliance, and handle DfE and Trust returns.
  • HR & Safeguarding: Manage site-level recruitment, maintain personnel records, and strictly oversee the local Single Central Record (SCR) in line with Safer Recruitment standards.
  • Facility & Health & Safety Management: Act as the Health & Safety Co-ordinator and Fire Officer, managing site security, contractor monitoring, risk assessments, and premises maintenance.

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven experience in operational, financial, or administrative management (school or public sector experience is highly desirable).
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and mentor diverse non-teaching teams.
  • Knowledge of financial processes, budget monitoring, and data management systems.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with robust organisational and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Deep commitment to safeguarding, pupil well-being, and supporting the school's core values.
