The Governors of Cathcart Street Primary School are seeking to appoint a motivated, passionate, and caring Assistant Headteacher from September 2026 with responsibility for SEND and Inclusion. We are a nurturing, inclusive primary school with a committed staff team, enthusiastic pupils, and a community that is proud of the progress we are making. We are now seeking an Assistant Headteacher to lead on SEND and Inclusion across the school - someone who will champion high standards, nurture staff development, and help us continue to grow with positivity and purpose.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, meaning that all convictions, cautions, and warnings (including those that are spent) must be disclosed. However, the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975 (2013, 2020 & 2023) provide that certain spent convictions and cautions are 'protected' and are not subject to disclosure to employers, and cannot be taken into account.
