Salary Grade - Band D, spine point 6-7 £17,278 - £17,568 (actual)

Contract - This is a full-time contract, 30 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time only plus INSET days). Annual leave to be taken during non-term time. This post is a fixed-term contract initially until 31st August 2025.

The governors of Our Lady of Pity RC Primary School - A Voluntary Academy would like to invite applications from enthusiastic and engaging individuals for the post of Teaching Assistant Level 2. The successful candidates will work under the instruction/guidance of the teachers, SENDCo, Key Stage Leads and Head of School to support the learning of the children.

 

We are looking to recruit two new members to our team. This could include working at our Annexe site in Hoylake or main site in Greasby based on skills and experience and level of need.

Our Lady of Pity is part of Holy Family Catholic Multi Academy Trust and the school and Trust evolves and develops its philosophies and practices over time and continues its never ending quest for child-centred education

 

Key responsibilities

  • To promote pupils' development in a safe, secure environment.
  • To have regard for the safety and wellbeing of pupils at all times.
  • To meet the physical/medical needs of identified pupils according to a pupil’s individual health care plan whilst encouraging independence wherever possible.
  • To develop an understanding of the pupil's specific needs in order to help them learn as effectively as possible.
  • To focus on individual pupils to ensure their needs are being met within the group. To encourage inclusion within the classroom. To liaise with teachers regarding the daily/weekly programme of activities and events. To work with other staff delivering Education and Health Care Plans. To support pupil record keeping as requested. To work within the established behaviour policy to anticipate and manage behaviour constructively, promoting self[1]control and independence. To prepare and undertake specific activities and supporting pupils to understand instructions and in respect of any learning strategies.
