Meadowside School is a 75 place Special School for secondary aged pupils with complex needs. The Governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking, reliable and self-motivated person to join our school as Site Manager. Forming positive relationships and liaising with key staff is essential. The right candidate will have responsibility for site security, site management, and maintenance of the school, (including the hydrotherapy pool), and grounds to the highest possible standard, ensuring a safe environment for pupils, staff and visitors. Working and liaising with contractors will be important in order to support future projects and they will also be responsible for maintaining all property logs and statutory testing records. The Site Manager will be expected to use their initiative and be flexible with a can-do attitude, and have the capacity to problem solve in a calm and professional manner. The ability to identify and prioritise tasks are important aspects of this role, which involves caretaking, janitorial, daily cleaning, a willingness to learn new skills along with an awareness of health and safety requirements, opening/closing, routine repair work and maintenance services. The Site Manager will need a good DIY standard of skill in joinery, plumbing, painting and general maintenance. Computer skills are essential to this role.


The pattern of work during term time will normally be:

Sunday 8.30am to 6pm (at time and a half pay) Monday to Thursday 12 noon to 6.30pm/6.45pm

There may be some flexibility regarding hours, please feel free to contact the Business Manager to discuss. Annual leave is to be taken in school holidays.
